January isn’t go-go-go

Awareness through mind, body, and life — one gentle choice at a time. Calm winter water-themed header image.

Build your inner reserves (Winter Water reset + gentle beta invite)

I hope your week has been a good start after the festive season.

Over here, my son is back at school and I’m getting used to a new routine — adjusting and aligning with this new season of 2026. I’m a mother with a real life, just like you. I don’t “arrive” in January perfectly ready. I adjust. I wobble. I come back.

My motto

Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.
Life will still bring tiredness, emotion, change… and we can learn a way to meet it so it doesn’t take over.

Winter / Water season: store and restore

January isn’t about go-go-go.
In Chinese Medicine, winter is linked with the Water element — a time to build inner strength, resilience, and vitality. It’s a “store and restore” season, not a “push and prove” season.

And here’s the honest part: Water is linked with the emotion of fear / anxiety. So if you feel more sensitive, uncertain, or a bit wobbly right now, it doesn’t mean you’re failing — it may simply mean your system is responding to winter, cold, and change.

Cold climate doesn’t help. Winter asks for warmth + nurturing — especially around the lower back / pelvis (that deep stability zone where many of us tighten or feel slightly “misaligned” without noticing).

Small calendar note (if you like seasonal energy): Lunar New Year begins on 17 February 2026 — that’s when the Year of the Horse (Fire Horse) begins. Until then, it’s completely OK to move slowly and build your reserves first.

Before we try to “be ready”… let me ask:

How are you feeling right now — in your body?
And what kind of year would you like to create, if you do it gently?

Theme for 2026: React → Respond

Emotional mastery isn’t “controlling” yourself.
It’s learning a daily rhythm that helps you respond instead of react — especially when you’re tired.

Winter Water Reset (choose your level)

A simple reset you can try today:

10 seconds — Name it

What’s happening right now?
(tight / heavy / wired / flat / anxious / foggy)

60 seconds — Soften

One hand on heart, one on belly.
Breathe in 4 / out 6 for 6–8 rounds.
Say: “It’s OK to feel this. I can soften.”

10 minutes — Warm + return

Warm drink (sayu / tea) + gentle movement (slow walk / stretching),
or place a warm hand / hot water bottle on your lower back.

Timing tip: I often do this reset in the late afternoon (around 3–7pm) — when many of us start to tire, snack, overthink, or push. A tiny reset there can change the whole evening.

Something new (beta invitation)

I’m opening a small online beta programme:

Gentle Energy Reset (Beta) — 4 weeks

A simple daily system (morning / midday / evening) to help tired women regulate their nervous system, feel lighter, and sleep easier — without needing lots of time.

  • Tiny practices with 3 levels: 10 sec / 60 sec / 10 min

  • Gentle support in a private WhatsApp group (with set office hours so it stays calm)

  • Small group: 5–8 women

  • Investment: £129

This beta also helps me build the full online course (with real-life feedback and what actually works in a busy week).

If you’d like details, message me RESET and I’ll send everything.
Important: WhatsApp shows phone numbers to the group — I’ll only add you with clear consent.

Work with me (we choose intuitively together)

🌙 YIN (calm/space): Reiki · Craniosacral · Facial/Foot Reflexology · gentle Emotion Code · ear points/ear beads
☀️ YANG (lift/organise): Somatic Massage · Neuro Facial/Foot Reflexology · focused Ear work · EFT

We listen to your body in the first minutes and choose YIN, YANG, or a blend — so you leave with one tiny step you’ll actually do.

Relax • Rest • Release • Restore • (Re)open

With warmth,
Naomi
