Acupuncture is based on the principle that the workings of the human body are controlled by a life force energy called Qi, (pronounced chee).

Qi flows between the organs of the body along pathways called meridians or channels.

NADA is five point ear acupuncture treatment known as the NADA protocol.

Initially used as an effective system for helping addiction and substance misuse, the NADA protocol has since proven successful when integrated as part of a holistic health plan to support general stress, Post-traumatic stress syndrome, mental health, immune system, emotional pain such as anxiety, fear, worries, grief as well as increase a better sleep

The protocol is knows to have a calming effect on the central nervous system

The Five Points in the NADA Protocol

  1. Shen Men (Spirit Gate) – Associated with Fire Element:
    • Function: Calms the mind, relieves anxiety and stress, and promotes relaxation.
    • Emotional Effect: Eases emotional distress, clears mental confusion, and promotes a sense of inner peace.
    • Element Association: Fire is linked to the heart and joy, representing warmth and connection. When in balance, Fire brings emotional calm and joy, but imbalances can lead to anxiety or agitation.

  1. Sympathetic Point – Associated with Metal Element:
    • Function: Regulates the autonomic nervous system, reduces pain, promotes relaxation, and improves circulation.
    • Emotional Effect: Helps reduce stress, calm the fight-or-flight response, and relieve tension.
    • Element Association: Metal is connected to the lungs and large intestine, associated with grief and the process of letting go. Balanced Metal energy promotes clarity and emotional resilience.

  1. Kidney Point – Associated with Water Element:
    • Function: Supports kidney function, balances water metabolism, and enhances vitality.
    • Emotional Effect: Addresses fear, strengthens willpower, and promotes a sense of courage.
