🌞 A Week of Sunshine & Subtle Realisations
How have you been?
It’s been a beautifully warm week. After work one evening, I walked through St James’s Park toward Victoria Station. Families sat on picnic blankets, birds drifted across the pond, and everyone seemed to be soaking up the peace. I smiled, enjoying the moment.
But amid all the sunshine, I also encountered emotional waves—unexpected moments that made me pause and reflect. And in that pause, I noticed something…
Even when I feel “fine,” my body still holds tension.
Sometimes, it’s a whisper—a strange sensation or emotional tightness I can’t explain. I had just been to see my chiropractor for my monthly maintenance, and while I felt well overall, that appointment reminded me: healing isn’t just about fixing what’s broken, but listening to what’s quietly asking for attention.
🌀 Don’t Settle for “Good Enough”
Many of us push through life—especially women over 40 managing work, family, hormones, and emotions. We may get used to discomfort and only act when it becomes pain. But that’s not balance. That’s survival mode.
You might go to a chiropractor, physio, or acupuncturist and feel better—but soon after, return to the same repetitive habits, poor posture, or stress. The body remembers.
If you’ve said:
-
“I’m just tired, it’s probably normal.”
-
“It’s not pain… it’s just discomfort.”
-
“It’ll pass.”
These are clues. Don’t ignore them.
💡 What Happens When You Leave Subtle Imbalance Untouched
-
Muscles stay tight, limiting range and breath
-
Your nervous system stays half-on—creating low energy and poor sleep
-
Emotional stress remains stuck in the body
-
The mind overrides the body’s request for rest
Eventually, that whisper can turn into a scream.
